“Participating in annual events such as this is critical towards driving support and building awareness of these incredible opportunities for our youth,” said Jesse Menachem, Mass Golf’s Executive Director/CEO. “Growing the game and providing affordable access for youth in Massachusetts is woven into the fibers of Mass Golf’s strategic plan. Heading into our third year of sponsoring this program we are committed to building upon the tremendous impact that we have had thus far.”
Youth on Course brings affordable course access to youth golfers throughout Massachusetts. The $15 annual membership fee gives youth golfers ages 6-18 access to play at any participating course throughout the Bay State and across the country for only $5 per round. When Juniors join Youth on Course through Mass Golf, they will also become Mass Golf members.
The team from Mass Golf is made up of five hikers who will take on the marathon golf event at The Links At Mass Golf. Jesse Menachem, Mass Golf’s Executive Director/CEO, will be joined by Patrick Fannon, Manager of Member Events & Services at Mass Golf, and two members of Mass Golf’s Board of Directors, Scott Baker and Sally DeGan. Rounding out the team is Andrew Sklar, an avid supporter of public golf and the Regional Director Of Operations and Beverage Program Director at UNO Restaurants.
“I’ve played 100 holes of golf before in one day, but this time there is a whole different meaning behind it,” said Patrick Fannon. “Being a part of this team and raising funds for Youth on Course makes this long round of golf that much more important for me.”
