NORTON, Massachusetts – Online registration is now live for events found under the PLAY section of MassGolf.org. The PLAY section is where you can find resources and links to events that are open to those looking for slightly less competitive events than those found under COMPETITION, want to play with a partner or are interested in trying a unique format or style of play.
Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to register, but here is a summary of those events that you can register for now.
Member Days: These one-day events are open to anyone who holds a current Mass Golf/USGA GHIN Handicap index with a Member Club. There are no handicap, age or gender eligibility requirements for Member Days. These events offer golfers a unique opportunity to play private courses and – new for 2018 – select one of three divisions (Women’s, Men’s & Member).
Women’s Tournaments: Included here are some of the most popular two-person WGAM events such as Curtis Bowl, Mildred Prunaret Cup, Cris Eaton Foursome, Hannah D. Townshend Cup, Eleanor W. Allen Bowl, Dolly Sullivan, and Eleanor I. Labonte.
Team Tournaments: All of the two-person team events, including the Father & Son and Father & Daughter which had previously been considered “MGA Championships”, can be found in this section. Included in this section include: Stone Cup, Father & Son, Father & Daughter, Mother & Daughter / Member & Junior, Mother & Son, and Sheeran Trophy.
Visit MassGolf.org and input your login credentials after clicking the “Member Login” button located at the top right of the home page.
Once logged into your home page, click the Event Registration icon and select either Tournaments or Member Days. You can also access registration for all Championships as well on this page.
All Tournaments and Member Days are listed in chronological order. An online registration link will appear to the right for Tournaments, while an “Enter Lottery” link will be visible for Member Day events.
For Tournaments… after agreeing to the terms and conditions of play, you can use the one-page form to input your credit card and billing information before clicking “Next” at the bottom of the page to complete the transaction.
The online form used to collect credit card information uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology which is an encrypted network layer responsible for ensuring security of your personal information over the open Internet. Mass Golf does not store or manage any credit card information directly. If you have any questions regarding security on the MassGolf.org website, please contact keldridge@massgolf.org.
Upon completion of the payment process, you will see an online confirmation message on screen and will receive an email confirmation.
For Member Days… registration is done through an online lottery system. If selected, payment will be collected within 48 hours of the lottery close date, which is determined by the date of competition.
All of your registrations will now be visible whenever you log into your My Mass Golf Home. After clicking the Event Registration icon, you will see a historical record of your Mass Golf registrations.
Any questions about the championship schedule can be directed to the Mass Golf staff.
