NORTON, Massachusetts – The increasingly-popular Mass Golf Member Days are back again for 2020, and the complete schedule has now been confirmed. This year will feature 28 events taking place throughout the active season, including first-time sites Nashawtuc CC (Concord) & Bass Rocks GC (Gloucester).
Member Days are one-day events held at exclusive golf clubs all across the Bay State that typically, but not always, take place on Mondays. They are open to anybody with a USGA/GHIN Handicap Index at a Mass Golf Member Club, and three different divisions are offered to provide fair competition.
Registration, which is carried out through a lottery system, opens March 5.
“It’s going to be a great Member Day season,” said Pat Fannon, Mass Golf’s Manager of Member Events & Services. “We encourage Mass Golf members to bring a friend and show them what Member Days are all about.”

Nashawtuc CC previously hosted the Bank of America Championship on the PGA Champions Tour as well as the Mass Open, Mass Amateur and Mass Women’s Amateur.
Bass Rocks has been the site of several Mass Golf Amateur qualifiers as well as Parent-Child and Women’s Tournaments.
In addition to the new courses on the schedule, Mass Golf will also host events at 11 different courses that weren’t featured for Member Days the year prior.
The first two Member Days will take place in the Cape Cod town of Mashpee, starting with Willowbend CC on Monday, April 27, and Monday, May 4 at The Club at New Seabury. The schedule will conclude October 26 at Kernwood CC (Salem), a 4-time Mass Open host site.
Returning sites include Whitinsville GC (Northbridge), long considered one of the top 9-hole courses in the country; Tedesco CC (Marblehead), a 5-time Mass Open and 4-time Mass Amateur site; and Orchards GC (South Hadley), which has hosted two USGA championships.
Unique offerings include a morning and afternoon shotgun start at Ipswich CC on July 6, while Waubeeka Golf Links and Taconic Golf Club, both in Williamstown, will host back-to-back Member Days on Sept. 20-21. Taconic is the site of the 2020 Mass Open.
Also hosting Member Days: Foxboro CC, Hopkinton CC, Marlborough CC, Indian Pond CC, Thorny Lea GC (2), Walpole CC, Ferncroft CC, Mount Pleasant GC, Wedgewood Pines CC, Plymouth CC, Oak Hill CC, The Acoaxet Club, Pocasset GC, Hatherly CC and Woods Hole GC.
“Coming in new to playing golf in the Boston area, it was a great way to find courses to play,” said Caren Althauser (LPGA AGA Boston), a past Member Days participant who now serves on Mass Golf’s Member Services Committee.
“The amount of offerings here to be able to go out and play is a huge benefit. It’s awesome.”
Tournament scoring will be kept for each event and is calculated using an 18-hole Stableford format.
Cost for each event remains at $90 and includes greens fees, cart and access to the range prior to the start of the event.
