NORTON, Massachusetts – On October 2nd, 2023, the non-profit organization Golf For All will conduct a clinic at the Links at Mass Golf, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Golf For All, based in Wellesley Hills, MA, is an organization that is committed to making the game of golf accessible to people who face emotional, developmental and physical challenges.
Per the organization’s mission statement: “We believe golf does enlighten minds, opens hearts, transforms lives, and eases pain and isolation. Our goal is helping all our sisters and brothers to find and create healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can feel peaceful, complete, confident, and safe.”
The event will be open to the public and showcase the therapeutic and rehabilitative effects of the game of golf through a demonstration put on by five participants: Randy Rogers (stroke victim), Jerry Donovan (paraplegic), Bob Resnick (blind golfer), Al Ceven (blind Navy Veteran), and Kevin Riordan (Special Olympian).
Golf For All is led by Fred Corcoran, the nephew of Mass Golf and World Golf Hall of Famer Fred Corcoran, along with co-founders Jerry Donovan and Bob Beach.
