BERNARDSTON, Massachusetts (August 1, 2024) — On a summer day in Northwestern Massachusetts, 53 pairs of fathers and daughters of all ages teed off for the annual Father Daughter tournament.
After a brief afternoon thunderstorm, play resumed with the Rollins duo winning the Forward Division. Dustin & Charlotte Rollins (Wenham Country Club, Bradford Country Club) ended with a four stroke lead after making a 39-39-78 at Crumpin-Fox.
Early Thursday evening, the Keane duo won the Championship Division with a score of 71. Finishing tied with John & Tate Hadges (Thorny Lea Golf Club), Fergus & Elise Keane (Green Harbor Golf Club) won in a one-hole playoff to take home the trophy.
In Modified Scotch format, both golfers hit a tee shot, select which drive to play, and then alternate shots until the hole is complete. The event featured two divisions: The Championship and Forward. In the Championship Division, daughters played from approximately 5,500 yards, while in the Forward Division, the daughters played from approximately 4,900 yards. Fathers played from 6,100 yards in both divisions.
