BREWSTER, Massachusetts – The Fall Cup season concluded Wednesday at Cape Cod National Golf Club with the team of six women from TPC Boston raising the club’s third championship title in the event since 2013. Since the Fall Cup started in 2009, TPC Boston is the only club to win the event three times. Oakley CC won the net division title and will also be included on the Fall Cup trophy.
The Fall Cup competition is a statewide tournament that featured three matches in September. Teams of six females from each club were broken into 19, 4-team regional divisions, forming exciting matchups between Mass Golf Member Clubs. The top team from each region following those three matches earned the right to compete in Wednesday’s Fall Cup Championship. Golfers started Wednesday with sunny and no wind but finished in blustery conditions.
“Cape Cod National was the ideal venue for the Fall Cup Championship, as it was an unfamiliar and challenging course for most of the field,” said Patrick Fannon, Mass Golf’s Manager of Women’s Events and Member Days.
