NORTON, Massachusetts – Mass Golf is excited to announce a multiyear partnership with Delta Air Lines, bringing the global air carrier on board as the association’s first official airline. Mass Golf and Delta will work together to connect the Massachusetts golf community with the world.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Delta Air Lines on the local, regional and national level,” said Jesse Menachem, Mass Golf’s Executive Director/CEO. “Their leadership and culture aligns incredibly well with the vision, mission and direction of Mass Golf and our community of members and golf enthusiasts. We’ve had great success of late with member travel and we’re thrilled to have a partner that wants to support our membership’s interests in pursuing golf destinations near and far. The convenience of increased travel opportunities out of Boston and the region will provide amazing access for Mass Golf members– wherever they may be headed.”

By way of the new partnership, Delta will connect with the Mass Golf community through distribution of exclusive content and insiders’ information across all of Mass Golf’s social and digital channels. Delta Vacations will also provide suggested travel itineraries from Boston to popular golf destinations, both domestic and international.
“The Mass Golf community can trust in Delta’s award-winning hospitality and industry-leading reliability to get them where they want to go, no matter the destination,” said Candice Stover, New England District Sales Manager at Delta. “We’ve continued to strengthen our Boston hub as demand has accelerated to ensure that customers have more choice and we look forward to welcoming Mass Golf members onboard very soon.”
This summer, Delta will offer more than 510 weekly flights to Europe, including more from Boston and New York-JFK than any other carrier. In Boston alone, Delta will operate up to nine daily flights to nine trans-Atlantic destinations, offering nearly 5,000 more seats each week compared with summer 2019. Nearly every flight to Europe will offer four cabin experiences, ultimately giving customers access to 750,000 more seats in Delta’s three premium experiences vs. summer 2021.
Notable international destinations from Boston with ties to golf include Edinburgh, Scotland, host of the 150th Open Championship at the Old Course, St. Andrews, as well as Rome, Italy, host of the 44th Ryder Cup in 2023 at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club.
With this agreement, Delta also becomes the official sponsor of Mass Golf’s Player of the Year Awards, which recognizes the top-performing amateur golfers in the state each season. The presenting rights of the Player of the Year program include a tie into Delta’s “Keep Climbing” campaign. Monthly standings and updates for the “Mass Golf Player of the Year Awards presented by Delta” will be shared with the broader community as the race to “Keep Climbing” each month heats up.
“With Delta’s presence tied to our Player of the Year Point System, we will be able to add significant exposure and benefits to those players who are making their way up the standings – we’ll all be encouraging players to participate, compete and to Keep Climbing up those standings,” added Menachem.
