Team of Mass Golfers To Fundraise for Youth Access to Golf at 100 Hole Hike

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: JUNE 29, 2023

NORTON, Massachusetts – The 100 Hole Hike has returned as the greatest charity challenge that supports Youth on Course, a national program that Mass Golf offers to provide aspiring young golfers with access to affordable and life-changing opportunities through the sport. Team Mass Golf is looking to recruit a group of charitable players to take on 100 holes this fall to raise awareness and funds to support Youth on Course.

With a fundraising goal of $75,000, the hike will take place this year on Monday, September 18th at The Links at Mass Golf. There is an opportunity for golfers to take their hike on an alternate date in order to still be involved with fundraising if the selected date does not work.

“The 100 Hole Hike has become a staple on our annual schedule as it allows us to bring our community together to celebrate this incredible program, raise important funds and awareness, and have some fun while doing so,” Executive Director/CEO Jesse Menachem said.

Youth on Course provides the game of golf to youth ages 18 and under with $5 (or less) rounds of golf. Each round is subsidized by donations. Supporters from across the country take on the challenge of 100 holes all in an effort to help ensure young people have affordable access to golf and the life-changing opportunities that come with playing the sport.

“Our commitment to Youth on Course is significant as it complements our longstanding interest in introducing youth to the game as well as our partnership with First Tee,” Menachem said. “We’re developing our next generation of golfers — and great people — and we hope these golfers remain part of our community for their entire lives. Providing affordable access is key to breaking a significant barrier of the game and it allows us to spread opportunity to more youth and their families statewide.”
