NORTON, Massachusetts – Almost seven months after qualifying at Hingham’s Boston Golf Club last October, seven Bay State women will head west for the 2018 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship – being contested at California’s El Caballero Country Club from April 28-May 2.
The Championship Proper, the fourth of its kind and the first USGA Championship to ever be held at the Tarzana, California club, will feature 64 of the top female amateur duos from across the world competing in two rounds of stroke play, with the top 32 teams advancing to match play, which will begin on Monday, April 30.
This will be the third straight year that the team of Sue Curtin and Pam Kuong will be competing in the Championship Proper, while the five other Bay State competitors will be making their inaugural appearance in the event.
