The collection of Mass Golf Player of the Year Award’s Presented by Delta recognizes the best amateur golfers each season. Competitors from across the Bay State compete in various events at the state, regional and national levels to earn points in their respective point systems and season long point races.
The cornerstone of each point system is the Mass Golf championship program, where the top amateur golfers from across state vie for some of the most historic championships in amateur golf. Mass Golf competitors are also rewarded and recognized for their success at the national stage in all USGA Championships as well as select regional events.
Thousands of Massachusetts amateur golfers compete throughout the season looking to achieve top finishes and garner Player of the Year points. Finishing at the top spot cements their name in history alongside some of the best amateur golfers in the state and earning the much-deserved Player of the Year distinction.
The top performing Mass Golf amateur competitors are recognized annually by being crowned the Richard D. Haskell Player of the Year, Christopher Cutler Rich Junior Player of the Year and George M. Cohen Senior Player of the Year.
