Entries are open to amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club.
Student-athletes are now able to obtain a Mass Golf/USGA GHIN Handicap Index directly through Mass Golf. This is a complimentary service that will provide junior golfers with the ability to become more connected with the sport.
Interested student-athletes should CLICK HERE for more information regarding the MIAA & Mass Golf Student-Athlete form. Once submitted a member of the Mass Golf staff will contact each student-athlete to set up the Mass Golf/USGA GHIN Handicap Index for the upcoming season.
Championship & Silver Divisions – Golfers who have reached their 14th birthday and will not reach their 19th birthday by midnight August 6, 2019.
Championship Division: Handicap Index of 10.1 or less (as determined by the July 15, 2019 Handicap Revision)
Silver Division: Handicap Index of 10.2 or more (as determined by the July 15, 2019 Handicap Revision)
Junior-Junior & Mite Divisions – Golfers who will not reach their 14th birthday by midnight August 6, 2019.
Junior-Junior Division: Ages 11-13
Mite Division: Ages 10 & Under
Competitors will receive the following AJGA PBE Status based on final championship results from the Championship Division. For additional information on the AJGA’s Performance Based Entry System, please click here.
The 2019 Girls’ Junior Amateur Champion & Runner-Up will recieve an exemption (pending the submission of a completed registration) into the 2019 HJGT National Championship in Orlando, FL – December 7-8, 2019.
Rebecca Skoler (Pine Brook CC) posted a two-round score of 6-over par 152 at Framingham Country Club to capture the 2018 Massachusetts Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship title.
Skoler’s wire-to-wire victory was a crowning moment in Framingham on Thursday following the conclusion of two-day event which featured four divisions and competitors who ranged in age from nine to 18. In addition to Skoler’s overall Championship victory, the following divisional winners were honored: Silver: Emma Abramson (The Ridge Club) ; Junior-Junior – Olivia Arone (The Ridge Club); Mite – Maddie Smith (Mount Pleasant GC).
