The Massachusetts Open Championship will be returning to Longmeadow Country Club, a Donald Ross golf course located in the Connecticut River Valley, for the first time since 2002.
Longmeadow is celebrating its centennial this year. Since its founding 100 years ago, it has become a premier championship venue in Western Massachusetts. In 1946, Longmeadow became the second Western Mass Club to host the Mass Open and has also hosted in 1982 and 2002. The club has also hosted the 1995 U.S. Girls’ Junior and the 2005 U.S. Junior Amateur.
Beginning in 1905 with Donald Ross’ victory at Vesper Country Club, the Mass Open has provided some of the most defining moments in Massachusetts golf history. The event will take place over three days of competition featuring the region’s top professional and amateur golfers.
