114th Massachusetts AMATEUR ChampionshipThe Massachusetts Amateur Championship will be played for the 114th time at Concord Country Club in Concord. This will be the 3rd time that Concord has hosted the Amateur, with the last coming in 2007 when Burgess Houston won the event.
Concord Country Club is one of more than 400 courses that course architect Donald Ross designed throughout his 48-year career. Ross initially designed the original nine holes of Concord Country Club, which debuted to members on July 4,1914. Those holes are still in use today as holes 1, 8, 9 and 13-18, though some were later lengthened. In 1925, the Club elected to hire Ross again to design the back nine, a project that was completed in 1930.
