This award was first presented in 1994, and is named in honor of Anne Marie Tobin, President of the Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts (WGAM) in 1994-1995-, and seven-time winner of the Association Championship in 1988, 1991-1995 and 2000. Points are awarded for performance in Mass Golf events, USGA events and other regional and national competitions. The award is awarded to the female competitor who earns the most Anne Marie Tobin Player of the Year points.
Women’s Mid-Amateur PLAYER OF THE YEAR
This Mid-Amateur Award will be presented to the female competitor – age of 25 & over – who scores the lowest combined gross score in two events: the qualifying rounds of the Women’s Amateur Championship (36-holes) and the Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship for the Keyes Cup (36-holes).
