The Massachusetts Golf Association sponsors the following nine committees, effective January 30, 2024. To contact a committee or committee member, click on the button below.
The Committee provides strategic advice and assistance to the Board of Directors and Staff regarding the organization’s fiduciary and general administrative duties. The Committee also reviews and monitors the performance of investment managers, recommends investment policies, and suggests changes to investment management strategies as necessary.

The Committee advises the Executive Director/CEO and the Director of Rules & Competitions on matters related to the planning, administration and management of all Championships conducted by Mass Golf.

The Committee oversees programs and services offered by the Association to its member clubs and individual members, including handicapping, course rating and marking, tournaments and member events, member days, education and outreach programs, and youth on course.

The Committee is responsible for the oversight of First Tee Massachusetts and The Links at Mass Golf, the Association’s flagship facility, to further Mass Golf’s charitable mission and strategic intentions. The Committee works directly with staff to identify and support operational improvements, program growth, and related fundraising opportunities.

The Committee will advise the Board of Directors and Staff on ways to help the Association become a DEI leader both internally and externally. Charter to be finalized.

The Committee oversees the Massachusetts Golf Hall of Fame to recognize and honor the contributions of those who have indelibly impacted golf in the Bay State. The Committee also oversees the Massachusetts Golf Museum, which serves as a steward of the game through interactive storytelling and exhibitions that feature artifacts significant to Bay State golf.

The Committee develops the selection process, guidelines and designated amounts for Mass Golf scholarships, which are granted to two recipients pursuing career development within the golf industry.

The Committee identifies, evaluates and recommends qualified and diverse candidates for leadership positions, including the Board of Directors and Officers, Advisory Board members, and members of other committees. Additionally, the Committee assists the Executive Director/CEO in educating Board and Committee members on their responsibilities and developing appropriate policies for Association governance.
